Every photo is checked in seconds during upload, according to ICAO 9303 and ISO/IEC 19794-5. Errors are caught before they reach HR, the back office, or card production.
What is checked
You decide for each process which checks are active and how strictly they apply.
A selection of the checks. We go through all criteria and thresholds with you during setup.
In practice
Most rejections are fixed by the person with the next photo.
Too little margin. Chin or hair cut off, typical of old passport photos.
Face too small. Old image file or too much distance.
Head not straight. Usually a sideways glance.
Group photos are rare: 0.09% of all uploads.
Around 23,000 photos from various Photo Collect instances.
When a check is triggered
The check runs during upload, not later at HR or in the back office.
Against all active checks, in seconds.
